Juice Community Project started in 2007, in a small office in Cadbury Heath, with the aim of supporting the people of Cadbury Heath through different parts of everyday life. We achieved this by acting as a centre for advice and information.
In 2008 we launched our open-access play scheme, Fun in the Park, during the summer break. It has run during the Easter and Summer break every year since. This project has been successful with over 300 children attending since it began.
Since 2009 we have produced community music events, such as ‘Pop School’, a dance and drama group for primary school children of the local area. Our community choir started in 2013.
We moved to our offices in Newton Road (opposite ‘Banjo Island’) in 2012, right in the heart of the community. We have rooms which are suited to everything from homework clubs to Baby & Toddler Groups to We Can Help sessions. We also provide a Food Store with The Matthew Tree Project.
The growth has been truly incredible, and we are so thankful to everyone who has made it possible. Over the years we’ve had over 30 different volunteers who have helped us with office work, reception duties, our work with children in the area and we thank them for making our vision a reality.
