Success Story…

Streetgames

Over 14 weeks this summer we have engaged with over 80 young people . In a celebration event at the end of August around 30 young people engaged with the Youth Centre and the streetgames session which was a very positive outcome.

Funding has been secured to continue this project until Ocober 2016 ,with the sessions in the winter being a little earlier 5.30pm to 7.30pm to then link with the Youth Centre. This project was a great example of partnership working.

Halloween Fun Day

What we did…
We put together a Halloween Fun Day and trail on 30th October 1-4pm, the event was funded  making it a free fun day for all the families to enjoy. The Halloween Trail included three stops and it ended at the Fun Day. The fun day included  halloween craft activities, and refreshments.

How many attended…
We had a great turn out, with around 120 people attending – 70 children and 40 adults. We were amazed by the amount of families that attended. This was a great opportunity to reach out and to engage with the families. The parents had to accompany their children, so it was nice to see the parents getting involved with the children’s activities and joining in together on the day.
